About YCC
History
A new generation of young Cambodians wants to play role in safeguarding our future. Cambodian youth have participated actively in social development with a unique different vision. The Youth Council of Cambodia (YCC) was founded on 10 December 2001 which consists of the Cultural and Environmental Preservation Association (CEPA), Khmer Democratic Youth Association (KDYA), Khmer Youth Association (KYA), Khmer Students Association (KSA), Student Movement for Democracy (SMD) and United Neutral Khmer Students (UNKS). YCC was officially registered at the Ministry of Interior (MoI), dated on October 14, 2005 which singed by co-ministers.
Vision
YCC wishes for a united society. YCC seeks active participation of youth in strengthening democracy, human rights, environment, health, gender for sustainable development of Cambodia.
Mission
Foster a greater participation of youth in development and provide a voice for young Cambodians.
Objective
To build up the ability of youth to participate in development of all sectors. Instill youth knowledge to upgrade social justice, national interest as priority, and adhering to democratic principle and especially instill youth to adore Nations, Religion and King.
To build up good relationships and cooperation with national and international organizations and other concerned institutions to promote the role of youth in development.
To motivate society to pay greater attention on youth issues by encouraging and supporting Cambodian youth activities.
To build up networks and coordinate youth activities countrywide.
